Introduction

 

We are committed to protect and respect your privacy in accordance with current regulations on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. The policy explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, or the conditions under which we may disclose it to others.

 

 

Purpose of personal data processing

 

The personal data we collect based on your consent will be used for the purpose of sending emails from the contact form (name, surname and email) or registration form (title, first name, surname, email and institution and job position) and listed in the Registered Participants List (title, first name, surname and institution and job position).

 

 

The scope of personal data processing

 

For event registration purposes, we collect your name, surname, title, email, job title and institution.

 

 

Legal basis of processing

 

For the purposes of registration for the event, the data collection shall be carried out solely by the person concerned’s consent at the time of registration.

 

 

Approval

 

When agreeing to the event registration, you consent to the processing of your personal data (title, name, surname, email, job title and institution) solely for the purposes set forth above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us through our contact form.

 

 

Providing personal data to third parties

 

As part of the registration for event, we do not distribute, sell or rent to third parties your undisclosed personal information in the Participant List (email, job position).

 

 

Retention period of personal data

 

As part of your event registration, we keep your personal information until the event’s website will be alive.

 

 

Your rights

 

Within the registration for the event, you have the right to request access to personal data relating to you as the data subject, the right to correct them or to delete or limit the processing, or to dispute the processing.

 

 

Eligible Interest

 

We process data from the registration form based on legitimate interest.
To identify a legitimate interest as a legal basis for the processing of personal data, we consider the following:

  • Why do we want to process personal data from the registration form? We process the data for the purpose of publish list of registered participants of the event and to notify them regarding the event.
  • Who benefits from processing personal data from the registration form? Your colleagues from the librarians who, based on your participation, may also decide to participate in the event.
  • What would be the impact if an Data Controller could not process personal data? Without personal data from the registration form (name, surname, email, telephone number, job title and institution), it would not be possible to identify persons participating in the event and not be able to register for the event.

If you are not satisfied with the processing of your personal information, please contact us using our contact form first. If you continue to be dissatisfied, you have the right to request assistance directly from the national supervisory authority, the Data Protection Authority.
